Amy at The Black Sheep Dances reminds us that the 2010 Scandinavian Reading Challenge was a huge success. At final count, 78 participants joined the challenge. Now she is asking those who completed all six titles (or more) to contact her via email with their results and their favourite title.
My six books were:
The Fire Engine That Disappeared by Maj Sjöwall and Per Wahlöö (Sweden)
Sun Storm (aka The Savage Altar) by Asa Larsson (Sweden)
The Mind’s Eye by Håkan Nesser (Sweden)
The Darkest Room by Johan Theorin (Sweden)
Nemesis by Jo Nesbø (Norway)
Missing by Karin Alvtegen (Norway)
Besides I also read as of 1st March the following Scandinavian books ‘stricto sensu’ :
Don’t Look Back by Karin Fossum (Norway)
He Who Fears the Wolf by Karin Fossum (Norway)
Murder at the Savoy by Maj Sjöwall and Per Wahlöö (Sweden)
Before the year ends I still plan to add at least one more title to my list.
It seems to me almost impossible picking up only one book. Most of them, if not all, were excellent. But if you twist my arm and force me to choose only one, my favourite is Nemesis by Jo Nesbø and I warn you I’m biased.
