Ya me había dado cuenta antes de que en España se ha publicado La aguja en el pajar (Planeta Argentina, 2006) de Ernesto Mallo como Crimen en el Barrio del Once (Siruela, 2011). Pronto se publicará Delincuente Argentino (Planeta Argentina, 2007) la segunda entrega de la serie como El policía descalzo de la Plaza San Martín (Siruela, 2011). No sé las razones de este cambio en el título original, pero la falta de información puede generar confusión. Sería de agradecer una mejor información por parte de la editorial española.
I had previously noticed that in Spain Needle in a Haystack (La aguja en el pajar) (Bitter Lemon Press, 2010) by Ernesto Mallo has been published as Crimen en el Barrio del Once (Siruela, 2011). Soon it will be released Sweet Money (Delincuente Argentino) (Bitter Lemon Press, 2011) the second in the Lascano series, as El policía descalzo de la Plaza San Martín (Siruela, 2011). I do not know the reasons for this change in the original title, but the lack of information can generate some confusion. It would be appreciated a better information from the Spanish publisher.

Le sugeriré a Siruela que incluyan el título original en la webpage. La nueva novela de Lascano se titula “Los Hombres te han Hecho Mal”, Planeta la publicará en Argentina en marzo/abril de 2012. Siruela, Rivages, Aufbau y Bitter Lemon ha manifestado interés pero aún no hemos firmado.
I’ll suggest Siruela to include the original title in the webpage. The new novel title is “Men Done you Wrong” (my translation). Planeta will launch it in march/april 2012 in Argentina. Siruela, Rivages, Aufbau and Bitter Lemon are interested but we haven’t signed the agreement so far.
