The Mystery of the Yellow Room

The Vintage Mystery Reading Challenge was one of the challenges that I left unfinished last year. Without the Challenge’s pressure, I’ll try to read occasionally some of the vintage books that were on my list HERE. Thanks to my brand new Kindle I bought today at an interesting price: The Works of Gaston Leroux which include, among others, The Mystery of the Yellow Room (Le mystère de la chambre jaune), one of the first locked room mystery crime fiction novels. It was first published in France in L’Illustration from September 1907 to November 1907, then in its own right in 1908. Stay tuned.

  1. José Ignacio – Oh, that sounds interesting! I’ll be looking forward to seeing what you think of it.

  2. I saw this yesterday too Jose Ignacio and thought about whether I would buy it. I’m interested in how you like your Kindle
