It wasn’t my intention but I had the opportunity yesterday to buy the first two books in the series featuring detective Eberhard Mock. Hardback editions at less than € 6.00 each. And I could not resist the temptation.
Marek Krajewski (born 4 September 1966, in Wrocław) is a classical literature scholar and a lecturer at the University of Wroclaw, where he teaches Latin. His debut novel Death in Breslau (Śmierć w Breslau, 1999), English edition: MacLehose Press, 2008. Spanish edition: Muerte en Breslau, Alamut, 2008, is the first in a muder mysteries series set in the pre-World War II German city of Breslau, now Wroclaw in Poland. The following books are:
- The End of the World in Breslau (Koniec świata w Breslau, 2003), English edition: MacLehose Press, 2009, Spanish edition: Fin del mundo en Breslau, Alamut, 2008.

The Breslau series in plot chronological order is as follows:
- Phantoms of Breslau, is set in 1919.
- Plague in Breslau, happens in 1920.
- The End of the World in Breslau, takes us to 1927.
- Death in Breslau, takes place in 1933.
- The Minotaur’s Head, the only novel which is not set in Breslau, but in Lwów – now Lviv and part of Ukraine, a Polish city in 1939.
- Fortress Breslau, is set during the last days of WWII.
