Unfortunately last night I read the sad news of Rod Younger’s sudden death. I did not have the chance to meet him personally, but Rod was a true caballero español and a true English gentleman. For those who didn’t know him, you can find, below, some information about Rod. Rest in peace, amigo.
From Costa Press Club (Asociación de Prensa Costa del Sol):
Rod Younger is an Anglo-Spaniard (born in UK of Spanish parents) with over 30 years experience of doing business in Spain. He was an international banker for fifteen years, working primarily for Wells Fargo and Salomon Brothers. Rod has lived in Spain since 2002 and in 2009 published a crime thriller Deadly Secrets (under the pseudonym Robert Tenison) based on a story of corruption in the urban planning process, money laundering and murder in southern Spain. He has also had several articles published in both online and offline media covering a variety of topics from Spain’s looming banking crisis (2009); what makes Spanish Culture and Character (2009); to the underlying problems with Spain’s economy (2010). In 2011 Rod established Sol y Sombra Books, trading as Books4Spain, which will be an online book store specialising in English language books and eBooks about Spain. The business also aims to publish a limited number of books set in, or about, Spain.
