December 2013 was another month of interesting reading. The two most outstanding books were Police by Jo Nesbo and Plata quemada by Ricardo Piglia, the first of which was my read of the month.
- In a Word: Murder – An Anthology. Margot Kinberg editor, 2013. Kindle version. (B)
- Police (Hervill Secker, 2013). Translated from the Norwegian by Don Bartlett. First published with the title Politi in 2013, by Jo Nesbo. (A+)
- Then We Take Berlin (Grove Press, 2013) Kindle edition, by John Lawton. (B) My review will be posted soon
- Plata quemada (Anagrama, 2006) Primera edición en Narrativas hispánicas, 2000, de Ricardo Piglia. (English title: Money to Burn, Granta Books, 2003). (A) My review will be posted soon
- Bruno and le Père Noël: A Christmas Short Story (Quercus, 2012) Kindle edition, by Martin Walker. (B)
- A Man Whitout Breath (Quercus, 2013) Kindle edition, by Philip Kerr. (B) My review will be posted soon.
Excellent choice, José Ignacio, and thank you for the kind mention. 🙂
You’re welcome Margot!
I am so far behind on Jo Nesbo. And his books are so long. But I will get there, someday. Also behind on Philip Kerr. I am eager to read John Lawton’s newest book, and will go check out your review.
Thanks for you comment Tracy. I’m well behind Philip Kerr and John Lawton’s books myself.
Another reminder for me to read some of Kerr’s Bernie books. Lawton is another who I have never read.
I hope you’ll enjoy them Col.
Many thanks, once more for picking In A Word: Murder. Appreciated. 🙂
