Latest Films Seen

Just for the record, Begoña and I have seen recently:

The Wolf of Wall Street directed by Martin Scorsese. Although I did not leave too convinced, the more I think about this film, the more I like it. A great review can be seen at The Telegraph. Released date in Spain, 17 January, 2014.

Blue Jasmine directed by Woody Allen. I’m not sure it’s Allen’s best film in about two decades, but it might be worth seeing it if you enjoy his films. See a review at The Telegraph.  Released date in Spain, 15 November, 2013. Slightly overrated in my view.

What Maisie Knew directed by Scott McGehee and David Siegel. A modern-day adaptation of Henry James’s novel ‘What Maisie Knew’ is smart and accomplished, says David Gritten at The Telegraph. Released date in Spain, 24 January, 2014. A decent film I liked more than I was expecting.

  1. José Ignacio – I’m glad you weren’t horribly disappointed in any of the films. I’ve heard such mixed reviews about The Wolf of Wall Street. that I wasn’t sure if it was worth seeing or not. Perhaps I will.

    1. Margot, if you can handle the excessiveness of some images (sex, drugs, etc.), almost everything is excessive in this film, you may find it worth seeing. If not, you will be probably better off without watching it. .
