OT: My Suggestion for Valentine’s Day

Sierra Cantabria Garnacha 2011Garnacha tinta, known by its French name Grenache outside of Spain, is a high-yielding grape that produces vigorous wines. It is one of the most widely grown red grapes in Spain. For further information on Grenache click at Wine-Searcher.

And my choice for a Valentine’s Day romantic dinner is: Sierra Cantabria Garnacha 2011, a red wine from the D.O.C. Rioja made of 100% Grenache grapes from old vines.

  1. José Ignacio. – Thank you very much for the suggestion. It sounds delicious.

    1. You’re welcome Margot. It’s not very common to find red Rioja wines of this grape variety. It can be found usually in coupages with Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Graciano.
