Thanks to Karen at Euro Crime recently I found out the 18 titles included in the longlist for the 2014 Theakstons Crime Novel of the Year Award. The full list is available here. I’ve read so far 7 books in this list. You can access my reviews by clicking on the book title. And I may probably have the opportunity to read some other titles in due time. It seems to me there are some excellent books.
Rubbernecker, Belinda Bauer, Transworld Publishers
The Necessary Death of Lewis Winter, Malcolm Mackay, Pan Macmillan
The Chessmen, Peter May, Quercus
I Hear The Sirens In The Street, Adrian McKinty, Profile Books. Spanish title: Oigo sirenas en la calle, Alianza, 2014

Standing in Another Man’s Grave, Ian Rankin, Orion. Spanish title: Sobre su tumba, RBA, 2013
