Today with my hiking group we did a nice circular route at the foot of the Sierra de Hoyo de Manzanares passing by the waterfall ‘Cascada del Covacho’.
Distance covered: 7.66 km. Total time: 2 hr 27 min Moving avg: 3.9 km/hr Max. height: 1069 m Min. height: 964 m

Jose, just signed up and noticed you mentioned the Ebro. I was wondering if there are any remnants of the battle fought there during the Spanish Civil War. Regards, Andy Kelley
Andy, I’m not familiar with the area surrounding the Ebro, where the battle was fought during the Spanish Civil War, but certainly in the Guadarrama area, surrounding Madrid, some vestiges of the Civil War can still be found .
