The Prado is joining in the celebrations of the 5th centenary of the death of Bosch (c. 1450–1516) by staging a major monographic exhibition featuring more than sixty works by the painter from various Spanish and foreign institutions. It will take place from May to September 2016 in the exhibition galleries of the Jerónimos building. The most important exhibition ever to be held on the artist, it will include Bosch’s main triptychs, such as the outstanding Triptych of the Temptation of Saint Anthony lent by the Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga in Lisbon.
