Meme- New to Me Authors – July to September 2016

new-to-meKerrie at Mysteries in Paradise runs every quarter this, easy to join, meme. All you have to do is just write a post about the best new-to-you crime fiction authors (or all) you’ve read in the last quarter. The books don’t necessarily need to be newly published. After writing your post, add your link here. You can also visit the links posted by other participants in the meme to discover even more books to read. This meme will run again at the end of December 2016.
In the third quarter of 2016, at A Crime is Afoot, I’ve read the following new to me authors:

A Foreign Country (2012) by Charles Cumming (C)

Vertigo (1954) by Pierre Boileau & Thomas Narcejac (Trans. by Geoffrey Sainsbury) (A)

The Cornish Coast Murder (1935) by John Bude (B)

The Wicked Go To Hell by Frédéric Dard, 1956 (trans. David Coward) (A)

The Spanish Cape Mystery (1935) by Ellery Queen (B)

The Coldstone (1930) by Patricia Wentworth (D)

  1. Jose Ignacio: Just took a look at my review of Trinity Six by Charles Cumming. I liked it considerably more than you liked A Foreign Country. I would be interested in your reaction to Trinity Six if you are inclined to give Cumming another chance.
