Valdebebas Forest Park, aka Felipe VI Public Park, was established on wastelands, old cultivation areas and large waste and rubbish dumps. It is located in the district of Hortaleza, to the northeast of Madrid. The partial opening of its current 340 hectares took place in March 2015. The final extension of the project is of 470 hectares.
Despite the weather, I visited the Park today for the first time, together with my hiking group.
