A highly interesting wine with one of the best price-quality ratio we can find in the market. Despite of having a twenty-two months aging process, as we can read on the winery website, it is rather a young red wine with a fruity taste that I have very much enjoyed and I’ve been pleasantly surprised.

2017 Goya Awards

As an enthusiast film-goer, I deeply regret the boycott to the Spanish cinema by a portion of the Spanish public. I can understand and even agree with some criticism to certain attitudes. And  I can understand that we don’t always like the same films, or even that some people don’t like films. But I can’t understand an indiscriminate boycott to a whole industrial sector in Spain that employs thousands of people. A sincere criticism is something entirely different to a boycott orchestrated by one part of the population based only on a certain political bias.

Having said that, last night took place the Spanish Cinema Great Gala, the Goya Awards, known in Spanish as los Premios Goya. The complete list of awardees is here.

The most outstanding films were:

Tarde para la ira, won the Best Film, Best New Director, Best Original Script, and Best Supporting Actor awards.

Un monstruo viene a verme won the Best Director, Best Original Music, Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Film Editing, Best Art Direction, Best Make-up and Hair Styling, Best Sound and Best Special Effects awards.

The Best Latin America Film Award went to Un ciudadano ilustre.

The Best European Film Award went to Elle.

The Best Live-Action Short Film went to Timecode.

The link, when I haven’t seen the film, goes to the IMDb website

In my view, the TV-broadcast of the homage to those who died last year was the worst part of the night.
