The ABC Murders TV Mini-Series (2018– )

1547817646_fotoAmidst great controversy in the United Kingdom, tomorrow 15 March, The ABC Murders starring John Malkovich as Hercule Poirot will be aired on Movistar Channel #0 in Spain. You bet I’ll be watching it, if only for being able to participate in the polemic. Purposely, I have refrained from reading other reviews, to watch it unprejudiced. Stay tuned.

The ABC Murders is an English crime series which aired on BBC One. The series premiered in 2018. Set in the 1930s at a time when the nation is dangerously divided and suspicion and hatred on the rise, Poirot faces a serial killer known only as “A.B.C.” First the killer strikes in Andover, then Bexhill. As the murder count rises, the only clue is the copy of the ABC Railway Guide at each crime scene. Poirot’s investigations are thwarted at every turn by an enemy determined to outsmart him. If the detective is to match his nemesis, then everything about him will be called into question: his authority, integrity, past and identity.

  1. I’m going to be looking out for this one, too, when it makes its way to the US. I’ll be interested to hear your views, J.I.!
