September 2019 Overview

monthly-recap_thumbMy September readings were pretty much close to my usual standard, though I must confess I began reading several books I wasn’t able to finish for one reason or another. Once again another month without any Maigret mystery, but I’m pretty close to complete my challenge to read all Agatha Christie books in the Poirot series. The good news is I have on my radar other authors from the Golden Age of Detective Fiction. Stay tuned.

“Arson Plus” (1923) a short story by Dashiell Hammett

The Case of the Crumpled Knave (1939) by Anthony Boucher (B)

Green for Danger, 1944 (Inspector Cockrill #2) by Christianna Brand (A+)

Murder in the Maze, 1927 (Sir Clinton Driffield Mystery book #1) by J. J. Connington (A)

Hallowe’en Party, 1969 (Hercule Poirot #31) by Agatha Christie (A)

Inspector French’s Greatest Case, 1924 (Inspector French #1) by Freeman Wills Crofts (B)
