A Writer to Follow: Roger Smith


Roger Smith was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and now lives in Cape Town. His debut thriller, Mixed Blood (2009), won the Deutschen Krimi Preis 2010 in Germany and was nominated for a Spinetingler Best Novel award in the U.S. His second book, Wake Up Dead (2010), was nominated for a Krimi-Blitz Reader’s Award in Germany, a Spinetingler award and as one of the 10 best pick of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Times (South Africa) and Krimiwelt (Germany). Dust Devils (2011) was a Der Speigel Book of the Month and #1 on the KrimiZeit Ten Best.
